About Me
Hello, my name is Theodora.
I was born in North London and now live in Walthamstow, with my husband, two children and three cats. I try to knit and crochet each day.
I've been knitting for over 10 years now. I was drawn to vintage patterns soon after I taught myself to knit, having always had a soft spot for the fashion, music and films of the 1930s. I have Agatha Christie to thank for my love of that period, being introduced to her at a young and impressionable age. (Thanks dad).
I have a healthy obsession with knitting patterns from the 1930s and 40s. I collect 78s from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, for my other life as a Shellac Sister. I also collect wool, old and new.
I was involved with Susan Crawford's A Stitch In Time books, which was a truly amazing experience, and I am still excitedly working my way through the patterns.
I designed my first cardigan in 2008 for Knit On The Net, and I am slowly building on releasing more patterns. I have recently started to crochet and love the immediacy of it.
